Admission Process

1. What is the admission process ?

  • Parents to come to the admission office and collect a registration kit for GEMS Dapodi or application form for Grade 2 onwards.
  • A completed form along with the cheque for 1st Installment fees is to be paid by the parents to the school office.
  • The student will only be considered a confirmed admission once the first Installment fees are paid by the student.
  • Registration form is valid for one academic year only, Registration fee is non-refundable.
  • Siblings will be given preference provided a seat is vacant. The student is required to fulfil the age criteria as mentioned by the admission committee.
  • In case of cancellation of admission, admission fee and school fee will not be refunded. A late fee of 50 INR per day will be applicable, if school fees and any other dues are not paid on time.
  • An incomplete Registration Form will be rejected without assigning any reasons.
  • Admission is open to students between 7 years to 16 years depending on the availability of seats.
  • Registration form is valid for one academic year only, Registration fee is non-refundable.

2. What is the cost of the registration Kit?

  • The application form and brochure for admissions in Ganesh English Medium School (Grade 2 onwards) is 500/-.

3. What are the documents required at the time of admission?
The following documents are required to be submitted :

  • Completed Online Application form.
  • Photocopy of the student’s birth certificate and Aadhar Card (if applicable).
  • School leaving certificate (can be submitted later if currently unavailable).
  • UDISE Number (Unified District information System for Education) from current school (applicable for admissions from Grade 2 onwards).
  • Photocopy of the current class Report Card (applicable for admissions from Grade 2 onwards).
  • Photocopy of Address proof and Parent’s Pan Card (original to be carried for verification).
  • 3 passport size photographs of the student.
  • Caste Certificate of the student or parents.

4. What kind of entrance test will be taken at the time of admission?

  • No written test is conducted at Ganesh English Medium School. Admissions are taken on a first come, first serve basis. In fact, any sort of entrance test is illegal as per law.

AGE

1. What is the age criteria for Admission in GEMS ?
For Maharashtra Territory schools:

  • Class (2022/2023) session : 2nd
  • Age Criteria : 7yrs complete by 31st December 2021

Teaching Staff and Teaching Quality

1. What kind of remedial classes will be provided for students who are not able to cope ?

  • State of the art infrastructure is provided in all of our schools. Each school classroom is equipped with projectors and visualizers to make learning interesting. Computer labs with brand new computers, fully equipped library, science labs, first aid room are also present in the schools.
  • A huge ground will be there where students can play a number of sports like Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Volley Ball, Basket Ball, Skating, Cricket and Foot Ball.

Extra Curricular Activity

1. What are the extra Curricular activities offered at the Ganesh English Medium School ?

  • Ganesh English Medium School ensures that the child excels both inside and outside the school and places a lot of emphasis on Extra Curricular activities.
  • Sports and Hobby classes are conducted for 1 hour each activity every week.

General Questions

1. Is my child eligible to join GEMS School ?

  • Yes, if he/she comes under given age criteria . (As per State Board of Maharashtra Policy).

2. When can I visit the School premises ?

  • From Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.

3. Do children go on field trips ?

  • Yes, obviously it is required for the all-round development for the child.

4. Do you provide any medical facilities ?

  • Yes we provide first-aid medical facilities to the students. We have tie up with one hospital and in-house nurse also. We have school first-aid room for the students.

5. Which Board is the School Affiliated with ?

  • State Board of Maharashtra (SSC) (SSC Index Number 1116157) up to 10th grade.

6. If I get transferred, Is it possible to transfer from one GEMS School to another other branch ?

  • Yes. This is possible. Existing GEMS students are given first preference with regards to admissions.

7. How would you help students improve on their English communication skills ?

  • Extra classes (after school hours) are organized in which english is given emphasis.
  • Various technologies are introduced into the classrooms that help the student in learning English.
  • Students are encouraged to only talk in English in School.
  • English Experts are part of the GEMS faculty. They travel to every GEMS School and interact with the teachers and students improving English language communication skills, phonics, pronunciation etc.

Internet and E-learning Technology

1. What do you mean by interactive classrooms ?

  • At GEMS, we give emphasis on technology in education. Every classroom will be equipped with digital projectors and Visualiser, through which certain lessons will be taught

2. What do you mean by a Visualiser ?

  • This is a powerful new Digital Process Visual presentation and teaching tool.
  • The Visualiser is the perfect solution for classroom teaching, presentations, recording lessons and evaluation.
  • The Visualisers powerful zoom allows you to view text documents and 3D objects in the minutest detail. The powerful functions will enhance the way you conduct your lessons, and save time and money with the image and video capture facilities.
  • Any object placed on the visualiser can be zoomed upto 220 times; a science experiment, an arts session or anything related to nanotechnology can be used in tandem with this product.
  • The visualizer will be kept in the school lab for help with experiments etc.

3. What do you mean by Web Portal ?
The GEMS “Between Us” Portal is designed so as to bring together the two main components of a student’s educational growth – The parent and the teacher.
